Level: Advanced beginner. Students must be able to knit, purl, cast on, bind off, increase and decrease.

Description: These six sessions will address almost everything you need to know to make a sweater that actually fits the intended recipient. You’ll start with the basics – selecting your pattern, choosing the right yarn, gauge swatches and how to make adjustments to gauge, and body measurements. In the following sessions, as you knit your sweater, you'll cover setting in sleeves, various seaming techniques, making adjustments as necessary, picking up stitches, and many more interesting and necessary tidbits.
Materials for first session: At least 150 yds of yarn for swatching, needles appropriate for swatch yarn, pen/pencil and paper, tape measure
Homework: Homework and additional information will be provided at the first session.
