Helping the Discouraged Learner

Statistics bear out that every regular education teacher is in a classroom where 15% of students are struggling with some functions or abilities that are below grade level, and this has nothing to do with the intelligence of the children!  Current brain research will be discussed to illustrate how a student's brain reads, writes and calculates.  With this window into brain function, you will learn strategies to use for individual students that will work in a busy classroom (and home) setting.
