This CLE program will cover three discovery-centered hot topics:
Predictive coding is an increasingly popular method of approaching discovery in cases with large document productions and extensive document review requirements. This program will provide practitioners with an overview of predictive coding and how it works, along with a review of case law that has addressed discovery issues relating to the use of predictive coding.
Federal Rule 45 was amended in 2013 in an effort to simplify the use of subpoenas in federal court practice. This program will explore the cases that have addressed Rule 45 since its amendment, and how the “new” rule has been interpreted.
Amendments to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure that govern discovery will be effective later this year. This program will discuss the proposed amendments and how the amendments will affect discovery in practice.
