"Federal Practice:  A Seminar on Dispositive Motions"

This three-hour seminar will build upon previous sessions in the Federal Litigation series,
giving practitioners practical advice from the Court's perspective about how to
successfully brief dispositive motions. Topics will include legal writing tips for
practitioners, rules and procedures applicable to motions generally, the pros and cons of
consenting to a magistrate judge, motions for summary judgment, and motions to
dismiss. Edward G. Melvin, II, Hiscock & Barclay, LLP, will facilitate the seminar. The
presenters will include: Michael Langan, Esq., Law Clerk to Hon. Glenn T. Suddaby,
U.S. District Court, Northern District of New York, Courtenay McKeon, Esq., Law Clerk
