Home Health Value-Based Purchasing is the future for our agencies' quality measures and reimbursement. Join your colleagues as we hear about the successes and lessons learned from other programs and pilots; learn the premise behind the guidelines; and understand the metrics and how it will be compiled, formatted and reported for reimbursement(s).

Faculty:


Dr Andrew Awoniyi,
a doctoral prepared nurse has over 20 years of experience in health and information technology, working with interdisciplinary teams in public, acute and post acute settings on various transformative initiatives. He has led the Axxess accreditation services permitting thousands of clients to achieve and maintain their Joint Commission (JC) and Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP) accreditations and other continuing education requirements.


Jennifer Gibson is Senior Clinical Consultant with Axxess, and is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of home health industry experience. She is a certified OASIS and Coding Specialist. She regularly trains on ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding. She has held several leadership roles in the administration of home health agencies and as a Director of Nursing. Jennifer consults widely for home health agencies nationwide and is a sought after contributor to industry blogs and publications. Jennifer currently serves on several committees for the National Alliance for Home Health Quality and Innovation (AHHQI) as well as the Texas Association for Home Care and Hospice.

C. Sam Smith, Senior Vice President, Business Development at Axxess, is responsible for all business development advisory and expansion of the company’s industry relations. He joined the Axxess team in 2010, bringing more than thirty years of experience in consulting, strategic planning and entrepreneurship. Prior to joining Axxess, Smith served as founder and president of Vi3 Technologies, an information technology consulting firm. Previously, Smith was involved in the establishment of several companies in the technology and data industries, and he founded and served as president and CEO of Synergy Bank and First Waco National Bank.
