Macroinvertebrate Guide Book ($35)

At just over 90 pages, the 'Macro Guide' is jam-packed with vibrant color photographs of benthic critters, generalized taxa descriptions, and detailed information on stream fauna. The guide is color coded to help with expeditious identification of like organisms, and this reader-friendly aspect makes it perfect for all interested stream stewards, be they novice or expert.

The Illinois RiverWatch Stream Monitoring Manual includes background information on water quality, site selection guidance, and procedures for monitoring habitat and biological diversity with RiverWatch. Updated in 2021, the manual is available in spiral bound form. One copy of this manual is included for each registrant for our RiverWatch training sessions.
