Tom has over 34 years of career experience in the rubber industry, but has a lifetime of industry knowledge and experience from following in his father’s footsteps. Tom majored in chemistry at California State University in Fullerton and has worked in various roles throughout his career, including: plant maintenance, mill operator, calender operator, lab technician, chemist, estimator, technical service representative, and account manager Tom joined RDAbbott in 1995 as an account manager before moving to operations manager, VP of operations, and now serves as a business development manager. Tom has been a TLARGI member since 1984 and a Rubber Division, ACS, member since 1996. He served 9 years on the TLARGI board and was chairman in 2004. Tom resides in Bellingham, Washington. Tom is the trivia master and enjoys doing crossword puzzles and playing cards.

OVERVIEW
LORD’s innovative In Mold Bonding (IMB™) technology has changed the way we look at liquid silicone rubber (LSR) and fluorosilicone liquid silicone rubber (FLSR) bonding to metals and plastics. Recent developments in application methods and products have opened up new, efficient, and exciting avenues for bonding.
- New products have shown excellent bond strength as well as efficacy across a wide range of products. Longer coated part lay-overs have also been achieved.
- FLSR bonding to thermoplastics using IMB has shown excellent heat, fuel and steam resistance.
