Through prevention we can come together as a community to end sexual assault and dating abuse. The New Orleans Sexual Assault Response Team (NOLA SART) will host its 2nd Annual Prevention Summit in April with a primary focus on Steps Towards Prevention. This day-long summit aims to provide teachers, administrators, community leaders, mentors, and coaches with the tools necessary to take action in promoting safety, respect, and healthy relationships among youth. The goal of the summit is to provide community awareness, promote healthy dialogue around sexual assault and dating violence and provide tools and resources for prevention among teens.
Seminar topics will include Promoting Healthy Masculinity, Teens, Sex & the Law, What Title IX means for Middle & High Schools, Strategies for Intervention, Cyber Safety, and more.Five (5) CEUs will be available for social workers.
Teen Programing includes an empowerment workshop with Triumph Krav Maga, healthy masculinity workshop with Dr. Corprew, "Do Dating Right" panel discussion and Teens, Sex & the Law.
