Each year, Hill PTA hosts Open House to bring our Hill community together and get some start-of-the-year tasks completed.  Register online and pay online to avoid having to register at Open House.  This will leave you more time to...

• See your friends!!
• Meet your new teacher!
• Pick up school supplies and bring them to your classroom.
• Pick out a Birthday Book (for August, September, & October birthdays - other birthdays will choose later in the year) if you choose to participate.
• Pick up T-shirts and hats if you purchased them during pre-sale, window decals, and headphones.
• Set up your Dillo Cards (monthly grocery card) account.

Detailed Description of Hill Merchandise and Fundraisers

When you click below to go to the Registration Page, you will have the opportunity to choose lots of great things that help your family, your kids, and Hill School.  All items are described fully below so you will know what you are ordering on the Registration Page.  Just come to Open House to pick up PTA membership cards, T-shirts and hats (if ordered during the July pre-sale), decals, school supplies and headphones.

Hill T-Shirts and Hat -

Hill T-shirts are traditionally worn to school on Fridays, and are worn on field trips to help teachers identify Dillos easily! This year we are also offering a "Texas" T-shirt. The "Texas" t-shirt (blue) is available in Adult sizes ONLY.

New this year...we are offering Hill Hats. Hats are one size fits all. They have a mesh back with adjustable snap closure. They will fit kids and adults.

If you already pre-ordered yours before July 23rd, during the July Pre-Sale, they will be waiting for you at Open House on August 21st.  Any t-shirts and/or hats ordered here will be delivered several weeks after school starts. 

There is no need to re-order the same shirts and/or hats if you already put in your pre-order before July 23rd, during the July Pre-Sale, unless, of course, you wish to purchase more.

PTA Membership - To achieve 100% membership in PTA, we ask that both parents join.

Dillo Dads - The Dillo Dads are an informal group of Dads who come together to make Hill Elementary a better place for our children and teachers. While AISD, the City of Austin, and our incredible teachers and staff make Hill a wonderful place that we all are proud of, those groups can’t do it all.  This is where the Dillo Dads step in.  The Dillo Dads charter is to do our part in making Hill Elementary the great place that it is, while having a lot of fun and meeting fellow Dads.

Hill Directory  - (Full Version, Mini Version) - An invaluable tool for contacting other families for play dates, carpooling help, and a million other reasons.  Students are listed in order by classes, and all together alphabetically.  The mini version (smaller to keep in your car or purse) only has class lists with phone numbers and email addresses. Birthday Book  - Celebrate your child's birthday by donating a book in your child's name to the Hill School Library.  In recognition of this donation, your child will be the first person to check out the new book!  A wide variety of books have been preselected based on library need, and your child will choose their favorite from these.  A commemorative bookplate will be placed in the book with your child's name and birthday, and the book will be presented to your child at assembly during the week of his or her birthday, or during the year in the case of a summer birthday. New for 2015: August, September, and October birthdays can choose their books at Open House.  Children with later birthdays will be notified to come and choose their book during the school year prior to their birthday.  For questions: birthdaybooks@hillelementary.com 

Birthday Posters - Celebrate your child's birthday at school with a birthday poster.  Your child will get a personalized birthday poster that will be shown on the TV message board in the hallway by the office for the month of their birthday.  (June and July posters will be displayed during April and May).  Then the poster is theirs to keep.  WHAT A DEAL!  For questions: birthdayposters@hillelementary.com

Headphones - KINDERGARTEN school supply packs already include headphones - no need to purchase headphones if you bought the KINDERGARTEN school supply pack through Innisbrook.  Each student is required to have their own set of headphones for computer lab time.  They can be reused year to year, if you kept yours and can find them! Although it is prefered that all headphones be bought through the school, you can bring in your own.

 Fundraisers

Dillo Donations is Hill's donation-based fundraising program -- our "no hassle" fundraiser.  With your help we largely fund the annual PTA budget supporting school-wide needs, such as library books, computer supplies, lowering field trip costs, curriculum enrichment, salaries and more, all for the benefit of our children.

Benefits of this type of fundraising:  

• All donations are tax-deductible.
• There are no products to buy or sell.
• 100% of your donation goes directly to the Hill PTA.
• It only happens once a school year (in the fall).

We need an average of $125 per child to meet our budget.  All donations, regardless of amount, are greatly appreciated!

Booster Club  - The next time you are in your child's classroom, look around at the quantity and variety of materials used to enhance learning.  Some materials were provided by AISD or the teacher, but many were purchased by the Hill PTA Booster Club.  Over the years, thousands of dollars of Booster Club funds, donated by parents or businesses, have purchased ipads, science and history books, computer software, writing kits, dry erase boards, musical instruments, art racks, calculators, a laminator for the teacher workroom, an LCD projector, printers, math manipulatives, dissection equipment, classroom rugs, math pentathlon games, roller racers, bats and balls, a lab dishwasher, a climbing wall for the gym and more!  

100% of Booster Club funds directly benefit students!  

The recommended donation is a one-time donation of $50 or more, but any amount helps and goes a long way.  This a great way for families and businesses to lend a helping hand to their local school. 

Booster donations fund specific teacher and staff requests, where as Dillo Donations funds our approved budget.

The Suzanne and Vincent Torres Hill Elementary Alumni Scholarship Fund - This fund, started in 2010, was created to provide a scholarship for a graduating high school senior who is a former Hill Dillo. It was renamed in 2015 in honor of Suzanne and Vincent Torres for their many years of service as past Hill parents and in recognition of Mr. Torres' as our district's representative on the AISD School Board of Trustees.

 

Hill Field Trip Student Scholarships  - Hill Field Trip Student Scholarships helps fund field trips for Hill students that, due to various circumstances, cannot afford the field trips costs.

Dillo Cards - Our Grocery and Gift Card Program... an easy, no-cost-to-you way to raise money for the PTA.  Receive gift cards in the mail every month to HEB, Randall's, Whole Foods or Starbucks at face value.  Hill buys them in bulk and receives a discount.  You will be raising money for the school without spending any extra money!  It's a WIN for everyone!

If you are interested in learning more about this easy way to raise money for Hill through the Dillo Cards Program, please add the cards that you are interested in to your cart on the Open House registration form.  Payment information will be collected at Open House or via email. Corporate Matching - Did you know that most of the companies that Hill parents work for, will match your donation to the Hill PTA! YES! They will match what you donate to Dillo Donations, Booster Club and Hill Scholarship...AND if you sponsor a Booth when our carnival comes around, they will match that as well!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Dell Employees - Dell ONLY Matches if you donate through the DELL portal.
