Day 2:  Fast, Fun, and Fabulous Free-Motion Quilting & Ruler Essentials

In the Morning of Day 2 of Bob's Handi Quilter Event, Educator Leslie Main will teach Fast, Fun, and Fabulous Free-Motion Quilting-- free motion designs that can be used to finish any quilt. In the afternoon, Leslie will teach Ruler Essentials--the safe way to use rulers and templates, and how to incorporate them into your quilting. The $70 registration fee includes both seminars, use of machines and tools, lunch and snacks.

• How to develop and inventory of free-motion designs
• Proper scaling and spacing of design elements
• Edge-to-edge free-motion quilting
• Adjusting your quilting path to create your own new designs
• Using Micro Handles and adjustable handlebars for free-motion control

Ruler Essentials

• Handle rulers safely
• Understand and use ruler markings for presicision and accuracy
• Use piecing lines and marking tools to build ruler design confidence
• VersaTool quilting: stitch-in-the-ditch, cross-hatch, piano keys, clamshells and arcs
• Apply binding with the HQ VersaTool

LESLIE MAIN

Growing up, Leslie was always creating. This love of creating lead her to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a specialty in textiles.
After ten years of inspiring school age students to the fun of creating with fabric, Leslie started her own quilt shop where she could inspire even more quilters in their creative journeys.
As a quilt shop owner, Leslie acquired extensive experience and knowledge in teaching all aspects of piecing and longarm quilting in her shop and at local quilting guilds. Being one of the first Handi Quilter retailers, Leslie brings a comprehensive knowledge of all the machines in the Handi Quilter family and loves to quilt on each of them.
