Presenter Bio

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(TM) professional with Merrill Lynch, Cyprus provides complimentary speaking engagements on various topics that are designed to provide actionable strategies to help closely-held business owners maximize the value of their companies. In doing so, he strives to help trade associations and accounting firms assist their membership and clients navigate and execute their exit and succession planning strategies. He understands people’s ultimate goal…which is to live the life they want to live and still leave a benefit to their families.

In his spare time, Cyprus enjoys Saturday morning runs along the Aurora Reservoir and a round of golf at Blackstone Country Club. He is proud of being a two-time Marathoner and enjoyed the discipline and focus required to accomplish that “bucket list” item. Cyprus’ family enjoys attending events at the Denver Performing Arts Center and local wine tasting events. What they enjoy the most is watching their children do cannon balls in the pool. Cyprus is a volunteer and member of the Cherry Creek School District’s Long-Range Planning Committee.

Cyprus has been collaborating with companies and families to help them accomplish their goals since 1994, when he was hired as a Branch Manager Trainee with Beneficial Finance. After completing business school, he joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Commercial Banking Training Program in 1999. In 2015, the family relocated from Atlanta to Denver and currently live in the Southlands area of Aurora. Cyprus has an M.B.A from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University and a B.A. degree in Psychology from Bloomfield College.
