The Great Adventure Bible Timeline Learning System

“The Easiest Way to Understand the Bible”

The key to understanding the Bible is finding the story that ties it all together. The Great Adventure Bible Timeline learning system makes the complex simple by helping you to uncover the story woven through Scripture, so that you can make sense of it.  We are blessed to host the author of the The Great Adventure, Jeff Cavins at Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Saturday, April 18th from 9:00am until 3:00pm.

This is a day you won't want to miss as Jeff presents a unique method for coming to understand the “big picture” of Salvation History. Taking us through the 14 narrative books of the Bible Jeff shows us how they illuminate the whole Biblical story from its beginning in Genesis through the coming of Christ and the establishment of the Catholic Church.

If you have never studied the bible, or studied it for years, if it has been a long time since you have received religious instruction or not at all, then this is a day you will not want to miss.  Understand the story of salvation so that you may see the beauty of the Church, the beauty of the sacraments and make sense of it for your own life.

As a special bonus, Jeff will be with us on Friday evening for an additional talk, "Keys to Becoming a Modern Day Disciple."  In this talk Jeff describes the process of becoming a disciple of a great rabbi in the first century. He explains both what it means to be chosen and what are the expectations for a disciple to become like his master. Jeff gives a compelling argument that unless people can see themselves active as a disciple on a daily basis, the faith can be reduced to simply following doctrines and precepts. Christianity is more than theology; it is a relationship with the Son of God. Come and learn what it means to be a modern day disciple!

Details:
- Cost for Saturday conference: $25/person and includes participant workbook
- Box lunches can be purchased for $8/person (order from the registration page)
- Friday evening bonus talk is open to all, no cost!

"He makes the complex simple so everyone can understand the meaning of our life here and our destiny to be with God."

The Bible is at the Heart of Our Faith…
and our relationship with God. Scripture informs our  beliefs and inspires our devotions. It is the living Word  of God, where our Father meets with us and lovingly  speaks to us. Reading the Bible should bring us closer to  Christ, but understanding it is not always easy. Many  people tell me they have tried time and again to  prayfully read Scripture, but they get frustrated because they “just don’t get it.”

The Great Adventure Catholic Bible study program is designed in such a way that anyone can make sense of the Bible and experience the life-changing power of God’s Word. Hundreds of thousands of people have found new meaning in their lives after going through The Great Adventure Bible studies. It is my prayer that you, too, will see how a newfound understanding of God’s Word can transform your life and bring you closer to Christ.
