Reach Out Westborough
Emotional resiliency training for the Westborough community
Westborough Youth and Family Services (WYFS), in collaboration with Westborough Connects, is offering the Westborough community an opportunity to participate in a free training aimed to foster emotional resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Who can participate in the training?
- Anyone living or working in Westborough or caring for someone in Westborough.
- No prior experience with or knowledge of mental health issues required
What to expect in the training:
- Recognize signs and symptoms of mental health distress, beyond day-to-day stress.
- Address the ways we may be vulnerable to distress due to the pandemic.
- Identify tools and strategies to manage distress.
- Learn how to support others who are in distress.
- Learn about resources and access help for yourself or others.
Training details:
- Free small-group training being conducted in person.
- The facilitator, Jon Mattleman from Minding Your Mind, will lead the training.
- Language interpretation and/or translation is available for free, as requested.
