Introduction to Multi-Gun Gun Fighting

Go from just shooting paper to really knowing how to run your gun in this exciting introduction to multi-gun gun fighting techniques. We will introduce some intermediate handgun skills and begin introducing carbine work to the training mix.

This intermediate class is designed to expose students to the concepts and skills required to safely and effectively utilize a pistol and a carbine as an integrated weapons platform. The first portion of the class will build upon basic handgun skills and introduce the student to intermediate level skills of one-handed and off-handed handgun operation including marksmanship, malfunctions and magazine changes. The student will then remedy malfunctions and execute magazine changes while on the move and shooting at a target.

The second portion of the class switches gears and the student will be introduced to basic carbine operations. We will cover strong-handed and off-handed shooting, malfunctions, tactical and combat reloads. The student will be expected to hit a target with his or her carbine while on the move.

The final portion of the class will integrate handgun and carbine operations. The student will learn when and how to change from handgun to carbine and back again. The student will learn how to deal with failures and when it is appropriate to change weapon platforms. In the final exercise the student will be expected to maneuver an obstacle course while shooting at a target and applying what they have learned in the class.

You will need a handgun, a carbine and 3 magazines for each firearm. In addition, you will need a holster, mag pouches for your firearms, and a sturdy belt to hold it all on your body. YOU MUST HAVE A SLING FOR YOUR CARBINE! Either a single point or two point sling will work!. You will also need eye and ear protection (active noise cancelling preferred). We also recommend a baseball cap. You will also need 300 rounds of handgun ammo and 250 rounds of carbine ammo. We do not rent firearms nor do we sell ammunition.

This is an action range class which means plenty of movement and some rolling around in the dirt. If you have a “pretty” gun, you may want to bring its ugly sister instead. The same applies to your carbine. Even though this is an intermediate class, we do try to simulate real world situations which means you will get dirty. But you will shoot quite a bit!

Bring a lunch and water (CVC does have a grill but you may miss some of the class waiting for your food).
