PART 1: Home Inspector Ethics
Why shoudn't we work on a house we inspected? Can we sell our client's information to other companies? Home inspector's are required to maintain ethical standards and avoid conflicts of interest. As ASHI home inspectors, we have all agreed to a Code of Ethics. This session will provide information on the do's and don't of home inspector ethics and how to avoid conflicts of interest!
PART 2: Home Inspector Regulations
This session will review the New Jersey home inspector regulations, including the standards of practice, pre inspection agreements, and how to ensure you are in compliace with them. This session will also discuss why it is important to work within these regulations. Risk management and client expectations will also be discussed. We will also be offered inisght on consequences when the regulations are not followed.
PRESENTED BY, Joseph Denneler, Esq.
Mr. Denneler has been a litigation attorney for over 20 years, almost exclusively representing home inspectors in litigation and arbitration matters in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has litigated issues involving home inspector standards of practice, contract issues, consumer fraud, and inspector licensure successfully and has earned a reputation as a defender of inspectors. Joe's presentations are always eye opening, informatiive, and entertaining! He has presented to home inspectors throughout New Jersey and the country and is a leading expert on these topics!
