Fall Seminar! 

The Garden State Chapter of ASHI is proud to welcome Mr. Fix It himself, Tom Feiza!  Tom is a registered Professional Engineer and has over 40 years of construction and engineering management experience.  His Saturday morning radio call in show in Milwaukee, WI draws more than 45,000 listeners each hour!  During the week, Tom is a home inspector with more than 20 years and 8500 inspections under his belt!  He has published over 5 books including the home repair and operation series 'How to Operate Your Home' as well as many techincal journals and has contributed to many magazines and newsletters.

The first part of his presentation will include identification and proper report writing with regard to basement inspections.  From settlement to drainage to repairs and more, this session will discuss proper basement inspection techniques and how to document various conditions that are found.  

In the second part of his presentation, we will learn why things happen in houses. Moisture intrusion and migration, why things have changed, energy efficiency, electrical issues, and more will be discussed to give you a better understanding of the science and engineering from a home inspector's perspective.

Wait!!  There's more!  For the final act, we will be featuring our Affiliate Member, Servpro of Freehold, well, actually Diana Moore, and she is bringing her team in for a presentation on water intrusion and its effects on homes, what inspectors should look for when assessing water intrusion issues, methods to locate water penetration issues, and inspector safety when dealing with different types of water infiltration.
