Stress has become an elusive term and is often worn as a badge of honor. However, it is the main culprit for physical and mental health issues. Stress is complicated and presents in many different ways. When the body feels stress (pain, fatigue, discomfort), our ability to think clearly, be engaged, be productive decreases. When the mind feels stress (deadlines, pressure of a major project, co-worker conflict, traffic), we feel headaches, shoulder stress, stomach discomfort, back pain. Uncovering the cause of stress and creating a custom action plan for decreasing and managing stress opens the door to improving attitude, engagement, productivity and efficiency.
We will learn what stress is, what causes it and how it affects our physical and mental health. We will discuss ways to cope with and manage stress to minimize its negative impact on our daily work and personal lives.
