 - Sliding scale, $500 - $1400

Basic Expenses (room, meals, facility costs, and materials)
 - $760 - Double occupancy (shared bath)
 - $875 - Single occupancy (shared bath)
 - $450 - Commuter, with meal plan
 - $250 - Commuter, without meal plan

Please note: Those planning on sharing a room with a spouse, partner, family member or other companion must register for one double occupancy spot per person and request to room together in the following registration form.

New Registration Practice: The NLSJ training team has set a goal of maximizing the percentage of People of Color (POC) in attendance at this year’s intensive. The strategy we have come up with for this year’s intensive is to experiment with aiming for a ratio of 60% POC/40% white-identified. This means that up until June 30th we will be accepting registrations for white-identified people up to the point they make up 40% of the total cohort. Any white-identified person whose registration/attendance would take the white presence above 40% will be asked to join a waiting list until a sufficient number of POC register for that person to attend without bringing white-identified participation above 40%. After June 30th we may accept a limited number of white-identified people above the 40% line on a first-come, first-served basis. Read more about our reasons for implementing this practice.

Payment Schedule: We request that you pay the full amount of your Basic Expenses at the time of registration to reserve your spot. Our preference is to also receive tuition payments at the time of registration, but we can accommodate tuition payments as late as June 20, 2019. Payments after the initial registration can be made online through PayPal or payments via check can be mailed. If a different timing for the payments is needed, please contact us to set up a payment plan.

Refund Policy: If you cancel on or before June 20, 2019, your fees will be refunded minus a $100 administrative fee. If you cancel after June 20, 2019, your fees will be refunded, minus a $100 administrative fee, only if we can fill your spot with another participant. If we are unable to do so, your fees will be refunded minus the cost of your Basic Expenses and a $100 administrative fee.

Scholarship Assistance: It is our greatest desire that all persons who want to come to The Nonviolent Leadership for Social Justice Intensive are able to do so. As part of our commitment to ensuring class diversity, we do not want access to funds to be the only barrier for attendance. If you would like to attend this retreat and do not have funds to make the requested contributions, please contact us or visit our website for information on applying for scholarship.
