CASEY is comprised of a group of concerned professionals and experiential voices in the community that work together to address issues pertaining to the sexual exploitation of youth.
About the training:
- Explore your beliefs, understanding, and assumptions regarding sexual exploitation
- Learn about the importance of language in framing this issue, definitions and age of consent laws
- Participants will learn how to recognize the luring and grooming process, recruitment tactics and the notion of ‘choice’
- Participants will learn specific skills to more effectively work with youth who have been sexually exploited or are at risk of exploitation. This includes victim identification and engagement, and the essentials of service delivery.
