Commercial Improv Auditioning Workshop
Commercials are the bread and butter mainstay of the work for actors here in Arizona! We have cast hundreds of them and know exactly what it takes to have a successful commercial audition. Nothing beats learning how to audition for commercials with dialogue (Commercial Auditioning I) and learning how to handle a callback audition (Commercial Auditioning II) but many actors are thrown for a loop when they find out they are auditioning for a commercial that has NO DIALOGUE! Some actors wrongly believe that since there are no lines, they don't have to prepare. Most actors just go into these types of auditions and "wing it" as if there was nothing they could have done to prepare anyway. But, that couldn't be further from the truth. Preparing for a commercial without lines or that has heavy "action" and minimal dialogue is just as important as preparing scripted commercials. The key is knowing what you need to prepare and learning how to most effectively utilize "improv" in your commercial audition. This workshop will give you the basics of how to tackle this type of audition. This class is for actors of all experience levels because every actor has something they need to learn or have forgotten. This class is for adults or ages 12 and above with permission. There is no longer a pre-requisite for this class! Enjoy! The fee is $99.
