VRF Three-Day City Multi Startup & Service Essentials Course (1 Day Online, In Person: July 26 & 27)

Hours: 2 days from 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Please make travel arrangements accordingly to avoid missing class time).

Attire Requirements: For safety reasons, please do not wear shorts or open-toed shoes. Students are required to wear masks at this time.

Computer Requirements: This course requires a laptop (Windows-based 7, 8, or 10, iPads are not compatible) and installation of the following software: Diamond System Builder, Initial Settings Tool, Maintenance Tool Software, and Maintenance Tool Drivers.

Course Descriptions:

Prior to taking the two-day course, you will need to complete the City Multi Installation Essentials Online course. To take the day one online portion:

1. Go to https://meushvac.force.com/Contractor/s/learning-home

2. Click “Find Learning”

3. Click “Commercial VRF”

4. Select the class City Multi Installation Essentials and register. (No fee for this class)

5. Log in if you have an existing account OR Register for a new account (Course certificate linked to account used in registration, so each user must have their own email account.)

6. Complete all 4 modules of online class.

(Installation Essentials) CITY MULTI Installation Essentials (listed above): This online course provides an in-depth discussion of the techniques associated with properly installing commercial CITY MULTI systems. Instruction focuses on the best practices, limitations, and manufacturer’s requirements as they pertain to wiring, addressing refrigerant piping, and equipment installation. This course is recommended for Installers.

(Startup and Service Essentials Day 1) CITY MULTI Control and System Setup: This course provides hands-on experience building systems using Diamond System Builder TM design software. Participants learn Mitsubishi Electric’s warranty process and the steps to register products once they have been installed. The concepts of integration and centralized control are discussed as well as the proper steps for system start-up. This course is recommended for Service Technicians and Installers. Laptop computers are required. Prerequisite: CITY MULTI Installation Essentials (Day 1 Must be completed online)

(Startup and Service Essentials Day 2) CITY MULTI Service Essentials: This course provides an in-depth functional examination of system operation including both the electrical and refrigerant circuits. In addition, the resources and techniques to diagnose and troubleshoot CITY MULTI systems are discussed. Practical hands-on exercises to identify faults and repair select units reinforce the concepts covered. This course is recommended for Service Technicians. Laptop computers are required for this course.

Prerequisite: CITY MULTI Installation Essentials Day 1 online (Both in-person days Must be Attended)
