Treating Weight Gain After Bariatric Surgery

Join UCLA bariatric endoscopist Rabindra Watson, MD, as he discusses weight gain after bariatric surgery, a common problem that occurs several years after the operation often due to anatomic changes in the stomach and bowel. Dr. Watson will cover the mechanisms of weight gain, how bariatric surgery works, why patients may regain weight after surgery, and the latest techniques to treat weight regain.

About Radindra Watson, MD
Dr. Watson is the bariatric endoscopist at the UCLA Center for Obesity and Metabolic Health, where he is active in the development and testing of novel therapeutic endoscopic techniques, including primary endoscopic therapies for obesity, endoscopic treatment of weight regain following bariatric surgery, and treatment of post-surgical complications. He is board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.
