Do you feel called to help support new parents, babies, and families in the early weeks and months?
While this can be a tender and joyful time, it is also a period of tremendous transition and adjustment for everyone involved. New parents are often surprised at how much their days and nights are so filled with caring for the baby, and support from beyond the family is often called for. Postpartum Doulas help ease the way, providing infant care, supporting the birther’s physical and emotional transition, offering breastfeeding tips and practical household support.
Most Postpartum Doulas are self-employed, and enjoy the flexibility & independence of having their own small business. Hourly rates typically range between $25 and $35+ per hour. Some postpartum doulas offer evening or overnight care. As an independent provider, you will have the freedom to incorporate your practice into your life however you wish.
Tuition $480. This workshop will be held online, from 1:00-4:00PM Eastern Standard Time on the following 7 dates in 2021: Feb. 13 & 27; March 13 & 27; April 10, 17, & 24, with a "rain date" of April 25 in case I'm called to a birth on a previously scheduled date.
