Fall Flower Bed Clean Up 

It’s time to close up shop and winterize the annual flower beds!  Volunteer to clear out the annual and perineal flower beds around Kirkwood Park. There are several beds where plants needed to be pulled as well as cut back to produce new growth in the spring.  This is a great activity for any age.

What to Expect: Upon arrival, please sign in on the event registration sheet. After everyone signs in, I will discuss which plants to pull from the ground and which ones to cut back.

Tools: I will have enough hand tools for every volunteer. Eye protection glasses and gloves are available.

What to wear: Please dress in clothing you can get dirty. Wear long pants, socks, closed-toe shoes, and long sleeve shirt.

Release to volunteer: Youth, under the age of 18, must have parent/guardian permission allowing him/her to volunteer. Inclement Weather:  The event will be cancelled or we will seek shelter when there is lightening within a 15-mile radius.
