KPAC's goal this year is to clear all 33 acres of invasive bush honeysuckle growing in Kirkwood Park. Join the effort to help remove honeysuckle and become part of the movement to eradicate invasive bush honeysuckle from our region. Volunteers will cut down honeysuckle growing along Rifle Range Road.

Preregistration is requested to ensure there are plenty of refreshments and hand tools for everyone. Register by Thursday, October 26, 2017. There are many ways to register:
What to Expect: Look for the KPAC event table set up in the park on Rifle Range Road (set up will be closer to West Adams Avenue). After checking in, a brief orientation is conducted before work begins to learn how to successfully cut down and where to drag cut branches honeysuckle. Beverages and snacks are provided throughout the event.
What to Wear: Dress in long-sleeve shirt, long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes.
What to Bring: Gloves, loppers and handsaws are provided for the first 20 participants, however, you are welcome to bring your favorite honeysuckle removal hand tool.
Participants under Age 18: Minors, under the age of 14, must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times. Parents or guardians must sign the consent form for youth (age 17 and younger) participation.
