Enjoy moving performances by Dina Fanai and Bob Kinkel, as well as the Co-Founder of Daniel's Music Foundation, Daniel Trush with Artistic Director, Gerard Powers plus other special guests, as they share their own personal experiences of the transformative power of music. Will Calhoun - TWill Calhoun received his BA in recording and engineering from the Berklee School of music. The two-time Grammy winner is a co-founding member of the genre-busting rock band Living Colour. Will has produced and toured with artists from around the world including Mick Jagger, Pharaoh Sanders, Wayne Shorter, Harry Belafonte, Mos Def, Lauryn Hill, Paul Simon, Madonna, Lou Reed, Oumou Sangare, Emily Sailers, and Public Enemy, to name a few. Will has released many solo recordings of Jazz, World, and Electronic music. His latest 5 Star jazz release is titled Celebrating Elvin Jones on Motema records. Sasha Lazard - Sasha’s operatic chops and deep eclecticism is the definition of “classical crossover”, a mingling of traditional and iconoclastic genres including folk, rock, electronica and jazz. As a recording artist, Sasha produced the soundtrack for the film “Blind” (starring Alec Baldwin and Demi Moore) featuring several of her songs, including a duet with Robert Redford. Her music has also appeared in features films including “Modigliani,” “Princess Mononoke,” and “The Lodger.”Sasha has performed at events worldwide for a variety of upscale, luxury brands like Bulgari, Louis Vuitton, Carolina Herrera and Salvatore Ferragamo, to name a few. She has also worked with dozens of charitable organizations like The Global AIDS Alliance, The Whitney Museum, The Starlight Children’s Foundation and one of her favorites, Daniel’s Music Foundation. For Sasha, music was the gift that helped her get on her feet during her struggles with chronic Lyme disease and the inspiration or her to team up with the Global Lyme Alliance. Anais Reno - 14 year-old vocalist, composer and sophmore in Drama at LaGuardia High School, Anais is the winner of the Forte International Competition in 2016. She has performed her pieces with the NY Philharmonic and recently did her first solo show at Feinstein's 54 Below.
