A VERY SPECIAL EVENING

Please join us on Tuesday, March 6th at the Cutting Room, for the third Power of Music Concert - presented by Daniel's Music Foundation and One Vision Music. Enjoy moving performances by Dina Fanai and Bob Kinkel, as well as the Co-Founder of Daniel's Music Foundation, Daniel Trush with Music Director, Gerard Powers plus other special guests, as they share their own personal experiences of the transformative power of music. Each month look for new artists to participate in this meaningful concert series, with proceeds to benefit Daniel's Music Foundation programs. We look forward to seeing you there! 

SPECIAL GUESTS

Poet AliIt is the light, Poet Ali emits and the reflects, which best guides the course of his profound impact on the hearts of his audience. He has shared the stage with artists such as One Republic, Christina Milian, Colbie Caillat, Fat Joe, Wyclef Jean, Lil Bow Wo, and Akon. He speaks to over 50,000 people a year and has helped shape the country of Bermuda’s “Chain Reaction” program, addressing issues of teen violence, bullying, safety in schools, and teen suicide. He has been the keynote speaker for conferences such as: The HOBY World Leadership Conference, the ICONIC32 Pop-Culture Summit, and was honored as the only male speaker to ever lecture at the Iranian-American Women Foundation International Summit. Poet’s work received standing ovations for his TED TALK appearances and has been engaged in social justice and youth intervention for the past 7 years. Shlomo Weprin - President/Founder of Shlomotions - internationally renowned production company with an established client list that has produced various projects around the world from the United States, Canada, Africa, France, London to Israel. Shlomo Weprin graduated in 2008 from NYU's prestigious film school, Tisch School of the Arts. Shlomo has honed his craft over the last decade, working with top musicians, restaurants, businesses, and artists around the world. He was awarded 1st Place in the Israel Video Network Contest in 2017 for his short documentary "Shuk Gallery" that went viral and was picked up by over 50 news outlets. He has filmed interviews with celebrities, including Robert DeNiro, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johannson, Denzel Washington, Larry David, and Adam Sandler.  http://shlomotions.com @shlomotions

ABOUT DINA FANAI

Dina Fanai has performed throughout the world as a vocalist, songwriter, original composer, and as a singer with the arena rock band Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Dina has written and produced for Universal, Sony, and Columbia Records, and has been the recipient of numerous grants and awards from The Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and National Endowment for the Arts, as well as leading tours and educational programs in the US, Europe, India and Southeast Asia. Her recording project CINEMA 12, was featured on Tina Turner’s platinum selling CD “Beyond”. This year she co-wrote and produced 2 CD's for Jackie Evancho, both which hit #1 on the Billboard charts. Most recently, Dina was brought on by the legendary band Foreigner, as choir master, arranger and featured vocalist. Dina continues to do extensive A&R and artist development for major label recording acts, network television and arena tours. She continues to perform and produce concerts and recordings to inspire the process of peace and positive change in the world. She is currently in the studio producing her 8th full length CD and 1st full length multimedia show. www.dinafanai.com

ABOUT BOB KINKEL

Robert Kinkel is a music producer and professional session keyboardist best known for his role as a co-creator/co-producer/co-composer, musical director and touring keyboardist with Trans-Siberian Orchestra. He co-wrote TSO’s 2 hit multi-platinum selling songs “Christmas Eve (Sarajevo 12/24)", and “Wizards in Winter” resulting in sales close to ten million. In the past 30 years, Bob has worked with artists such as Five for Fighting, The Who, Aerosmith and Genesis; as well as creating and being the voice on the infamous jingle for Hefty (“Hefty Wimpy”) He was educated at Columbia University & Hamilton College, and has received honors and awards from Williamsville Education Foundation and Buffalo Music Hall of Fame. Besides continuing to write for TSO, Bob is currently producing new recording acts, developing a musical for Broadway and teaching as an artist in residence at Hamilton College. http://www.trans-siberian.com/about/composer

ABOUT DANIEL'S MUSIC FOUNDATION

Daniel’s Music Foundation (DMF) is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 to empower underserved individuals with developmental and physical disabilities through music. Today, inside the four walls of their 8,700 square foot, custom-built music center in East Harlem the Trush Family, along with the management team and staff, are on track to serve over 20,000 participants this year alone through a variety of music programs -  an accomplishment that has proven to be the entre into something even greater. The desire to change perception and contribute to an attitudinal shift addressing the misnomer of placing limitations on individuals with disabilities. A focus that uses social action and awareness to create the opportunity for people of all abilities to engage and appreciate each other while experiencing the joy of music together.
