South Pima Rural Early Child Care Providers' Conference
Call for Presenters
Conference Theme: "100 Champions for Children!" ~ A focus on advocacy and inclusive best practices for early child care professionals serving rural communities.
We need your help to make our conference a rich and rewarding experience for early child care professionals.
Conference Agenda:
7:30– 8 a.m. - Sign in/Light Continental Breakfast
8 – 9 a.m. - Keynote Address by Lisette DeMars, First Things First Parent Awareness & Community Outreach Coordinator
9 – 9:15 a.m. - Break 1
9:15 – 10:45 a.m. - Session 1
10:45 – 11 a.m. - Break 2
11:00 – 12:30 p.m. - Session 2
12:30 – 1p.m. - Lunch Break
1:00 – 2:30 p.m. - Session 3
5.5 hours of Professional Development.
This conference is made possible by funding from Freport-McMoRan Copper and Gold Foundation to United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona's Early Childhood Partnership of Southern Pima County.
Criteria for Workshop Proposal:

We are looking for proposals that will offer a 90 minute workshop in English or Spanish to early child care professionals. We will have a total of three 90 minute workshop sessions. No stipends are available for presenters. Free continental breakfast and lunch are provided to all selected presenters.
How to Submit Your Proposal:

Please email your resume and a one page workshop description describing your ninety minute workshop presentation to: vfelty@unitedwaytucson.org. Please make the subject of your email "March 1 Conference Proposal." Please also include which learning objectives will be accomplished in your workshop. In addition to presentations in English, we are also looking for a series of workshops to be offered in Spanish for each session. You may submit various proposals for consideration, so long as each proposal is submitted on a separate page and no longer than one page. Please indicate whether you require a stipend when you submit your proposal. For any questions, please call Vanessa Felty at 520-300-5777. The deadline to submit your workshop proposal is 5 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014. Notifications about who is selected or not will take place on Friday, January 31 via email.
