Supporting Children Through Grief and Trauma

This workshop will provide information about how grief and trauma impact young children, how parents can support their children through difficult times, and how to find additional help when needed.  Children need our help and guidance when dealing with traumatic events and oftentimes parents don't know how to help them.  Maybe there has been a death in the family, they have a sick parent, they are traumatized by Sandy Hook School shootings, they themselves are dealing with an illness, or maybe they have witnessed violence in their home.  This workshop will give you some understanding and tools to help families in these situations.
