Conscious Discipline Classroom Strategies

Join us for monthly sessions for early care and education professionals who work with children aged birth through age 5 where we'll learn about helpful Conscious Discipline strategies for your classroom.

February 7
Creating a School Family
Participants will learn about how building the School Family is the key to cooperation and school success. Participants will learn to use the School Family as the basis of their classroom management system to help meet the social and emotional needs of all children. Participants will leave with tips and strategies that will enable a shift from control to connection.

March 7
Conflict Resolution and the Safe Place
This session will teach participants how to use the Executive Skills of Impulse Control and Self-Regulation to compose themselves and download calm to children during times of conflict. Participants will walk through conflict resolution scenarios and leave with an understanding of how to use the Time Machine effectively as well as an understanding of why and how to use the Safe Place.  

April 25
Baby Doll Circle Time
This session will take participants through the steps and explain the purpose of Baby Doll Circle Time.  They will have the opportunity to participate in Baby Doll Circle Time during the session. Participants will leave the session with an understanding of why and how to utilize Baby Doll Circle Time in their classroom

Attendees will receive 1.5 Missouri Child Care Licensing Clock Hours per session
