Brad Mears, Professor at University of Central Missouri, will present the opening keynote: Understanding Brain Based Differences. This session will begin with a basic introduction to the developing human brain, and will shed some light on why the needs of children are so diverse. We will specifically discuss how brainbased differences impact behavior, learning and even play.

Who should attend?
Anyone who has or aspires to a leadership role in a childcare facility in Missouri or Kansas would benefit from attending the Directors’ Symposium. Directors, assistant directors, lead teachers, trainers, coaches, and owners are the primary audience.
