Presenter: Jill Molli, Loving Guidance Associate
Sit still, pay attention, look at me: understanding and developing attention skills in all children.
Attention is a complex skill that does not develop through stamina training and makingdemands that children listen.
During this workshop you will:
• Learn how attention develops
• Learn the difference between sustained attention and selective attention
• Gain new interventions for the “fidgeting, impulsive, I can’t wait” children
• Experience fun activities and games which will optimize the development of attention for the children in your classrooms

Infant/Toddler Session
Presenter: Shana Schmidt
Baby Boss-Executive function in early childhood
Executive Function is only accessible when we feel safe and understood. Through group activity and collaboration, this session will allow participants the opportunity to create a plan for supporting children toward success, even in the toughest situation!

About the presenters:
Jill Molli has a B.A. in Elementary Education and a Masters in Counseling. She possesses the gift of delivering this important message of Dr. Becky Bailey’s Conscious Discipline program with humor which makes for a wonderful learning experience. Jill was selected as a Loving Guidance Associate because of her no-nonsense ability to get to the heart of a situation plus her commitment to living Conscious Discipline principles at school and at home. Jill’s experience includes delivering state and national keynotes, teaching children with behavior disabilities, teaching elementary school and serving as a guidance counselor. Jill is a contagious source of enthusiasm for and knowledge about Conscious Discipline.

Shana Schmidt has over 20 years of experience working with challenging behaviors in homes and schools. After receiving her Master’s Degree in mental health counseling in 1997, Shana worked in the foster-care system and quickly noticed how early-relationships affected a child’s success. As a Conscious Discipline® Certified Instructor since 2005, Shana found her heart and continues to be a learner of the Skills. Shana’s life passion is relationships. Whether it be playing ‘mommy’ as a young girl, cheering a team on in high-school or encouraging other adults professionally, Shana has always felt the impact of healthy support.

Funding for this training is provided through a Community Connect grant from Mosaic Life Care.
