A hearth is the fiery heart of a home; a warm place where we welcome friends and befriend what is strange. In this 5-day online retreat, we engage in a multi-faceted movement range where we dance wildly and tenderly, deepen through ritual, and explore intrinsic movement. We refine the compass of our genuine longing, and realize our fundamental belonging.
In the inquiry style of Continuum, we explore through perceptual explorations, inner movement and primordial sounding. We deepen our experience of the nourishing gifts of the elemental intelligences within and without.
Using the movement practices of Soul Motion, we nurture our experience of the silence that sings in the pause. We engage 360-degree awareness because life often comes at us from the blind side. We dance alone to find ground and our own center. We dance with a holy witness to know that we do not have to go alone. To endure the unexpected roughness of life, we water our common roots, so we can branch out and care for each other with small gestures of kindness, truth, beauty and love.
Let us actively step into the participation required for true belonging, where we transform a world of fear into a world of beauty. Come be part of this transformation. Our world needs you.
Format
Each day (except one 4-hour session on Monday) we will have two sessions. Michael will inspire us through poetry and spoken word, invite us to dance, and open co-creative soulful rituals. Through inspirational principles and experiential instructions, Susan guides meditative, perceptual explorations, and an extended Continuum dive (no need to look at a screen.) There will be time for questions and answers to refine the process of our soulful inquiry and for sharing our experiences. We will also make use of breakout rooms for paired exercises and smaller group dialogues.
This retreat is for those who can take this whole time and attend all sessions. If you need to miss a session you can view the recording later. This is an opportunity for you to have deep soul time for reflection, contemplation and transformation. Recordings will be provided only for those who attend this live event.
