The Oral Systemic Practice Model

Make the connection in daily practice between heart health and dental health.  This course is an introduction into the Oral Systemic Practice Model, featuring the Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Center.  Participants will walk away with general knowledge of the inflammatory burden as it relates to heart attacks and strokes, the role of the hygienist in clinical practice and simple steps to take to implement prevention into practice.

Featured speaker, Dr. Eric Goulder will present on the inflammatory burden and the key role hygienists play in the prevention of heart attacks and strokes.

Dr. Eric Goulder is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Medicine.  He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in bothe medicine and cardiovascular disease.  He is the former director of the Cardiac Rehabilitation program at Riverside Methodist Hospital, and former partner at Knightsbridge Internal Medicine and Cardiology, for fifteen years.  Dr. Eric Goulder is currently a practicing cariologist at Marietta Memorial Hospital, and certified Preceptor of the Bale / Doneen Method.  Dr. Goulder is building The Heart Attack and Stroke Prevention Center of Centeral Ohio, located in Worthington to serve our community in preventing future events.
