Day of Caring 2017 

Please join us for the Day of Caring 2017! There will be community volunteer opportunities at:

  • Dream Playground 9/8/17 from 8-4 p.m. to paint, rake and shovel new bark. (E 3rd Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362)
  • 9/11 Waterfront Memorial Park Fall Cleanup 9/8/17. Start time 9:11 a.m. Please bring gardening gloves to help weed and clean up the park. (Previously known as Francis Street Park, 811 Caroline Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362)
  • Parking lot clean up 9/8/17 starting at 9 a.m. on 2nd and Lincoln, Port Angeles, WA 98362.
  • Carrie Blake Park on 9/11/17 from 8-12 p.m. to remove brush on Blake Avenue, paint the outside of the restrooms by the skate park and spread bark. If volunteers are intersted there can also be a project to paint fire hydrants. (202 N Blake Avenue, Sequim, WA 98382)
  • Olympic Peninsula YMCA 9/11/17 from 10-2 p.m. to paint the white house and help with garden beds. (302 S Francis Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362)
  • Lutheran Community Services 9/11/17 from 2-5 p.m. to weed flower beds, lay down bark and build a "Little Free Library". (2634 S Francis Street, Port Angeles, WA 98362)

We will be updating this page as more projects become available.
All of the project site locations will have tools/equipment available, however we encourage all volunteers to bring their own so there is enough to go around. There will be snacks and water available, but please come prepared!

If you would like to participate in the Day of Caring, but cannot attend any of our listed projects, feel free to plan one on your own! United Way of Clallam County will help support your project and help recruit volunteers.
