2018 Michigan Conference UCC Annual Meeting

Welcome to the online registration page for the 2018 Annual Meeting - Michigan Conference of the United Church of Christ. We are excited and looking forward to having you join us October 12 & 13 at First Congregational UCC, Charlotte, featuring Keynote Speaker, Rev. Dr. Alice Hunt. Dr. Hunt is the Immediate Past President, Chicago Theological Seminary; Vice Chair, United Church Board of Directors;  in July 2018, Executive Director, American Academy of Religion.

This year's Annual Meeting has more of a traditional format with Friday bringing some Continued Education time, some workshops, lunch (at the church or on your own - within walking distance), resolution and budget hearings, and an Award Banquet planned for Friday evening at The Center (804 S. Cochran Ave.) - located just a few minutes drive from the church. Saturday begins with a continental breakfast, worship with Rev. Dr. Alice Hunt preaching, lunch (at the church or on your own), plenary, and lots of excitement and energy this year brought by youth returning from the Great Lake Regional Youth Event!

There is plenty of parking available - Street parking, City Lot (across from the church), Lovett Parking Lot (corner of Lovett  and Bostwick St.), Public Library (1 block away). Please refrain from parking behind the church - this small lot is reserved for persons with disabilities; an easy ramp entrance is available on the northside of the church off of Lawrence St.

The Annual Meeting, will again, be a paperless meeting. All Annual Meeting materials will be available on our website prior to the meeting. We strongly encourage churches to print all desired materials for their delegates prior to the meeting.

The deadline to register and include meals is Wednesday, Oct. 3.

Youth programming at Annual Meeting will begin on Friday, with youth gathering at Upton Gym on the campus of nearby, Olivet College for an overnight and evening of fun. Youth will travel to Charlotte Saturday morning to share in the continental breakfast and take part in the morning worship. There is opportunity for mission and service within the local community  - and time for youth who traveled and took part in the Great Lakes Regional Youth Event (GLRYE) to share their continued excitement and energy from this summer's event!

The cost to attend the Youth Program - for Youth and Chaperones at Annual Meeting is $25  - this covers your lodging Friday evening, Saturday continental breakfast and a special Saturday lunch just for our Youth Program folks! If you plan to attend, please use the REGISTER NOW button at the bottom of this page. Be sure to click the "Youth Program (7th - 12th grades)/Chaperone" button on the online registration form. Please remember to not make a lunch selection - your lunch is already included.

More information will be made available soon and shared on the Conference website: www.michucc.org
