WOODSIDE AVENUE FLOOD CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT

Presentation Topic:
Mr. Perrett will discuss the construction challenges that have been part of the $16 million project, including jacking a 20’ wide v 5.5’ high RCB across SR 67, relocation of numerous large water lines (68”, 48”, 36”), all while maintaining the existing storm drain system.

Speaker:
Mark Perrett was born and raised in San Diego, attending Madison High School in Clairemont. He graduated in 1988 from San Diego State University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering. Mark has worked in the public works field for the past 28 years, the first 12 years with Los Angeles County Department of Public Works performing in various flood control project capacities, and for the last 16 years as a Project Manager with San Diego County Department of Public Works, managing numerous road, bridge, flood control, and wastewater capital improvement projects. For the past 4 years Mark has been the Project Manager for the challenging Woodside Avenue Flood Control Improvements project located in Lakeside, CA.

PAYMENT: Credit card through PayPal in advance. Cash or check taken at the door for additional $3. Make checks payable to ASCE and bring with you to the luncheon. Parking will be validated. 

MENU: Southwest tri-tip served with rice pilaf and vegetables. Vegetarian plate is available but must be requested by 9 a.m., Friday, June 24!

May we suggest if you are unsure of your schedule that you opt for walk-in registration the day of the event for the most flexibility. If you choose this option, your meal choice may not be guaranteed and there will be an additional charge of $5 added to the cost of the lunch.
