Entrepreneurship Week - HalTech and Halton Small Business Centre present Small Business Skills
Finance and Marketing are two skills that no business, big or small, can be without. Join HalTech and the Halton Small Business Centre as we provide you with the skills to be successful! Two streams will be made available to fit your needs. Chris Carder of Kinetic Café will be the keynote speaker during lunch to discuss the success in failing.
Registration, Continental Breakfast and Opening Remarks: 800am - 830am
Finance Sessions: 845am - 1045am
Option 1: Finance 101 with the Halton Small Business Centre will help you with the skills you need to get your business started.
Option 2: Advanced Finance with Greg Clarke, Partner at SB Partners Accounting, who will go over how a strong financial compass is one of the key cornerstones of success forCEO’s. Understanding how to read thefinancial statements, the story behind the numbers and knowing the right questions to ask are vital to understanding the key indicators.
Business Software: 11am - 1145am
Your business can't afford to not have the right software in place. This session will feature presentations and panel discussion with accounting software and business management software experts. Speakers will include Juliet Aurora of AIS Solutions and Carol Thompson-Duvall of RDC Networks.
Marketing Sessions: 130pm - 300pm
Marketing 101 with Chris Hokansson - Start Up Toolkit for Entrepreneurs and Small Business Owners. One Red Bird can provide you with the down and dirty of getting started with your marketing and getting noticed quickly.
