Lancaster District Vision: Becoming Reality 

After years of struggle, civic activism, political wrangling and legal maneuvering, the I-30 overhead in Downtown Fort Worth was relocated south of its original location. 

The post-move Lancaster Vision called for recreating an urban edge on the north side of the street.  The redevelopment would respect the three grand historic buildings to the south and create a human scale, walkable boulevard reconnecting these architectural treasures to the core of Downtown after decades of separation.

Now, after the Lancaster Avenue roadway reconstruction, a financial system meltdown and the great recession, the next step in Lancaster’s renaissance is about to begin.  We invite you to hear the story first hand.
