This virtual conference, which is both free and open to all BSW and MSW students, was created to connect developing social work students to experienced professionals working in various social work settings. Through these connections, students may develop the skills and knowledge needed to excel on their path in social work.
Attendees of the Student Conference will participate in an interactive panel discussion with social workers in the fields of medical, policy, child welfare, and school social work. Following the panel, there will be Career-Building Sessions inclusive of The Dos and Don’ts of Interviewing and How to Become an LMSW or LCSW. Finally, the conference will conclude with an interactive session on Self-Care.

Jodi Hill-Lilly, LMSW, (she, her, hers) is the Deputy Commissioner of Administration at the Connecticut Department of Children and Families (DCF).
Brittany Kane, MSW, (she, her, hers) is a Program Coordinator at the Institute for Municipal and Regional Policy at Central Connecticut State University.
Jennifer Bennett, LMSW, CDP, (she, her, hers) is the Avon Senior Center Coordinator.
Jeffrey Heintz, MSW, (he, him, his) is a school social worker at Moses Y. Beach Elementary School.

Michelle Kenefick, LCSW, SEP, (she, her, hers) is the founder and Executive Director of Sound Counseling Center and current President of the NASW/CT.
