Cooking with Colours SW April 25 2017 

Learning how to cook is important in making healthy choices for what we eat.  Did you know that 7 out of 10 children under the age of 12 report that they do not eat recommended servings of fruits and vegetables on a regular basis?  We believe a colourful plate is a healthy plate!

In this class children will develop cooking skills to prepare a recipe highlighting ingredients of  a different colour.  In April, the feature colour is "purple". Encouraging children to eat more fruits and vegetables (and other yummy ingredients in the recipe) while learning nutrition by colours will set up your child for a healthy lifestyle.  Kids and their parent will taste the fun!
