Delta Sierra Science Project: Modeling, Computation and Simulation in High School 

Our 2017 summer institute, sponsored by the Delta Sierra Science Project (a region of the California Science Project), University of the Pacific and San Joaquin County Office of Education will explore modeling, computation and simulation at the High School level. This exciting, hands-on workshop will include technology-rich experiences, NGSS 3D Lessons, introductions to computer programming, robotics, micro-controllers, 3D printing, laser cutting, vinyl cutting and milling.  Two areas of special focus will be on the practices of modeling and computation as it relates to the Next Generation Science Standards.  

Please click on the Register Now button below to register. We have funding for 30 teachers and space will be limited to those numbers.  Pleease commit to attending if you register as these funds can not be carried over.

The Summer Institute is 5 full days, June 19-23 with one follow-up conference call in November and one follow-up workshp day in December.  The Summer Institute and follow-up days are free to attend.  You will recieve a stipend of $600 after you complete the Summer Institute.

Breakfast and lunch are included every day at the Summer Institute.
