Based on a large number of FAPIA members who have relocated to Texas for Hurricane Harvey in addition to those that are in Florida who will be assisting policyholders with the widespread damages resulting from Hurricane Irma, the FAPIA 2017 Annual Conference that was scheduled to be held from October 21-23 will be rescheduled.
We expect the conference to be rescheduled for early 2018. Anyone who already purchased a ticket will be immediately refunded. We are working on creating a few one day events where you can still get your CE credits, network and share information without having to be away from work for three days.
FAPIA Headquarters will make all of our resources available to members, the general public and the news media so that we can get through what are sure to be difficult months ahead.
We urge you to stay safe, stay compliant with all regulatory requirements while you assist policyholders and report any unusual industry trends and any cases of the unauthorized practice of public adjusting as soon as you see it. If you come across any managed repair claims gone bad or any other examples of bad behavior, please let us know. We would like to hear about any problems with the claim process that develop.
