2013 Buckeye Firearms Youth Shoot *** Sold Out *** 

This 2 day event begins on Saturday, September 14th at 8:00am. Group camping is available for the weekend. Contact us in advance for details. This year, we will not only include rifle and trap but provide introduction to handgun and skeet activities for more experienced youth attendees.

First, second and third place trophies will be awarded in each discipline. Youth participants can earn NRA  / Winchester Marksmanship Program shields and rockers. All patches and certificates earned will be awarded on Sunday afternoon along with trophies.

Shooting sports merit badge requirements can be met during this event. If you are a scout and need the rifle or shotgun merit badge, don't forget a blue card signed by your unit leader.

Registration is only $5 and proceeds help support Buckeye Firearms Foundation.

About Dillon Sportsman Center:

The property includes the following:

  • Range house with full restroom facilities, retail store and classroom.
  • 100 yard rifle range with shelter and lighting.
  • 25 yard pistol range with shelter and lighting.
  • Skeet and Trap fields with automated clay throwers.

Shooting positions on the rifle range utilize heavy concrete benches with adequate space to stand and have side tables for all your gear. Moveable target stands are on site.

Shooting positions on the pistol range utilize large standing lanes with forward benches for your gear. One lane is a seated position with table, ideal for precision handgun shooting or shooters with special needs such as wheel chair access. The pistol range also includes stationary and moveable target stands.

Skeet and trap fields are fully automated on regulation fields with lighting for night shoots.

Adult cost is $6 per hour per shooter on the rifle and pistol ranges. Pro rated after the first hour. Youths aged 15 and younger shoot for free on the rifle and pistol ranges when accompanied by paying adult.
Skeet and trap is $6 per round (25) of clays for all ages.
