About David: After completing his PhD, Dr David Hamilton worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 4 years, developing medicines for cardiovascular disease and cancer. Inspired by the placebo effect - how people in drug trials who receive placebos often experience the same improvements as those on the actual drugs - he resigned from the industry to study and teach the mind-body connection. David is now author of 10 books, including, 'How Your Mind Can Heal Your Body', the Amazon No.1 bestseller, 'I Heart Me: The Science of Self-Love', 'The 5 Side Effects of Kindness', and 'The Little Book of Kindness'. David is a columnist and the Kindness Tsar for Psychologies Magazine. He has also been a guest on Channel 4's, 'Sunday Brunch Live', in the UK, and been featured on CBS Sunday Morning in the USA. David is also featured in the Netflix documentary, HEAL.
