'Introduction to Moorland Heritage'

at our Pinkery Centre 

Join our professional Exmoor National Park staff to explore and learn about moorland heritage with guided walks, talks and visits over a two night break at our Pinkery centre.

As well as time to socialise and relax you'll learn more about the National Park and moorland heritage through a series of walks, talks and visits to historic sites. One guided walk will last around 5 hours so a reasonable level of fitness if required. 

Some more information you may like to know before you book.....

Suitability - Our package includes meals, accommodation in private en-suite bunk rooms and a range of activities including talks and some off-site walks and visits for which you may be required to use your own transport.This break is most suitable for adults. Adult spaces can be booked for children aged 14 or over, providing they are accompanied by a paying adult - maximum ratio of 3 under 18’s to any 1 adult.

A reasonable level of fitness will be required as the break includes a 5 hours walk which at times will be across rough ground.

Equipment - No specialist equipment is required. Participants must bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. There is likely to be some walking and suitable footwear must be worn.

Transport - There may be a requirement for some of the group to use their own transport for a few short distance journeys. This will be agreed and confirmed during the break. If you do not have your own vehicle then please advise us at the time of booking.

 Meals - Meals will be provided from Friday dinner through to Sunday lunch inclusive. Food allergies - Food allergy requests must be made at the time of booking and can only be accommodated on experiences booked at least 48hrs in advance.

Accommodation -  All bedrooms are 4-6 berth bunk rooms. Each bedroom has an en-suite shower room with W.C. Bedding is supplied but beds will need to be made by participants. Towels are not supplied. Communal areas include meeting and common rooms plus dining area and drying room.

Your booking will give you exclusive use of a basic bunk room (which has 4-6 bunks). The standard booking of £219 per person is based on 2 sharing a 4 bunk room meaning you will have the lower bunk (and its upper bunk) to yourself!

A single supplement option is available alongside discounts for those wishing to book a room for 3 or more sharing.
