Dark Skies Discovery Family Event -Wimbleball - 27th October 

Walk, Talks & Stargazing with Bonfire & Marshmallows

4pm Walk across the Solar System with your guide Hugh Saxby. Have fun in the dusk as you walk and learn about the planets.

From 6pm Stargazing with Tiverton & Mid Devon Astronomy Society - Weather permitting, there will be opportunities for guided stargazing.

Telescopes provided but you may like to bring binoculars if you have them.

6pm Family Talk by Astronomer Dr Lilian Hobbs will give a family focussed talk on the mysteries of the dark skies and stargazing.

7pm Talk by Astronomer Dr Lilian Hobbs - Astronomy using your Tablet - Dr Lilian Hobbs discusses some of the Apps available for your tablet or smartphone to help you explore the night sky, spot the International Space Station, follow a NASA space mission or read your favourite magazine or book.

Booking essential, as spaces are limited.

Seating will be limited so do please bring a fold-up chair if required. This event (with adaptations) will take place whatever the weather. Refreshments will be available from the Duck Café.

Bonfire throughout the evening with free marshmallows!
