As we do every year, we like to give back to a local charity.This year we are collecting donations for ST. PAUL'S CENTER for homeless women and their children.
Homelessness is an issue around the Capital Region that doesn’t subside during the holidays. Since opening in 2006, St. Paul’s Center in Rensselaer has served more than 2,000 homeless women and children..
Families are displaced for a variety of reasons: fire, unsafe living conditions, loss of job, a break-up of a relationship. There’s a lot of a different reason why a family enters into homelessness. St. Paul’s Centers goal is to help them, house them, educate them and get them to move forward and get their own places. The non-profit also works through the year to assist former homeless families.
NYCRAA will be donating $500 to St. Paul's Center and we are hoping to raise additional donations from you, our member supporters and friends! Suggested donations are an item off the wishlist (below), a monetary donation or gift card, We will be happy to accept any donation you can make at our mingle event. If you are unable to attend, please consider making a donation by clicking on the "I can't make it" button to see the donation options or you can give us a call and we will be happy to make arrangements to accept your donation! All donations will go directly to St, Paul's Center.
UPDATE: On November 8, the center was burglarized leaving critical missing items for fundraising efforts making your donations more important this year than ever! Your support and your donations are greatly appreciated!
