Wetland Birthday Celebrations 

Turn your child's birthday into a nature adventure at the Wetland Center! Choose from three birthday party themes:

Snakes, Our Scaly-Skinned Friends - Snakes are such cool animals! Partygoers will learn about the unique characteristics of snakes and how they use these features to survive. Kids will have the opportunity to touch the snake at the end of the program.

Bobcats, Coyotes & River Otters, Oh My! - After learning about the native animals of the wetland through a presentation with skins and skulls, kids will take a walk on the boardwalk to explore and look for clues in nature that let us know these awesome creatures are all around us!

Birds of a Feather Flock Together - Hundreds of bird species migrate in and out of our wetland. Kids will learn why birds are important and how their unique structure allows them to survive. Out on the boardwalk, they'll also learn how to use binoculars to find birds as they take a bird walk. 

Parties are designed for ages 4 - 11. 

Birthday party celebrations include:

• All-day admission for 25 people (age 1+) to the Wetland Center.

• Education program and tour of the boardwalk.

• A 2.5-hour reservation in our classroom (including setup and teardown).

• Basic party decorations - tablecloths, birthday banner, and personalized birthday greeting in the room.

• Wetland Steward to assist with the flow of the event, room supervision and cleanup/teardown.

• Extra wildlife-themed party favors available for purchase.

Parties can be scheduled on Saturdays, from 9:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m. or 1:30 p.m.-4 p.m.  See sample schedule below:

9:45 a.m. – 10 a.m. - Birthday Child and Family Arrive

10 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. - Welcome/Birthday Guests Arrive

10:15 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. - Education Program

10:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. - Cake & Presents

11:15 a.m.– 11:45 a.m. - Boardwalk Tour

11:45 a.m. – 12 p.m. - Wrap-up of Party

12 p.m. – 12:15 p.m. - Cleanup

Cost

A party for up to 25 people costs $225 ($185 for Friends of the Wetland Center, Family Level memberships).
