Being an Antiracist

April 24, 2023

(Virtual)

Join us as we discuss what it means to actively be an antiracist.  We will look specifically at anti-Black racism, analyze the educational system in our country and set a personal goal.  Each participant will choose one of the following educational areas upon registration to focus on in one section of the training: college readiness/access to AP/gifted and talented programs, educator expectations and biases, lack of representation of Black educators/adults in the school, school discipline inequities, and curriculum.

Talking about racism is important and requires that we be present and accountable to the groupWe invite you to give yourself the opportunity to be fully present in both body and mind during this workshop. If you will not be able to stay engaged for the entirety of the workshop, we kindly ask that you sign up for a future date.

This workshop is FREE for participants. 3 Professional Development credits are available to educators who attend the entire workshop.

"NO SHOW" Policy: If you register and do not attend the workshop, we will notify you that you have been placed on the "No Show" list. Should this occur THREE times, you will be removed from our email list and all future registrations will be canceled.
